SSSC 23 Things Digital - Thing 20 Collaboration
I have twice sent an email asking for your SSSC links to padlet and the google doc but no response so I outline below my experience in the hope this will do to achieve this badge (nearly finished all 23!!)
I use Padlet as part of my peer crit group and we find this the preferred private way to share with each other not only relevant links to all sorts but also to privately share our reflections on meetings, opinion on content of meetings, in the links etc all of which helps us identify relevant ways forward for us as a group to enhance what we already do and identify training needs and opportunities. It is a great peer group tool, accessible out with meetings and a central point to record all relevant material.
I pay for google suite account and so am familiar with sharing docs and other google apps for collaborating. We use Microsoft 365 at work so am familiar with sharing docs, Teams etc through there too. We don’t seem to use doodle through work for whatever reason but I do use this with other groups in my life to manage to get all together at most suitable times. It’s a tool that cant be argued with as it takes any human bias away – handy for any complaints from others so I don’t know why we are not making decisions more transparent in this way at work.
I've registered and had a look around how to edit Wikipedia. I always wondered how to do this – so easy but not something I have time for just now. I use Wikipedia all the time, although others in my life have been trained to use more official sources of information and dismiss Wikipedia! I find Wikipedia so fast, intuitive, so much depth on a subject can be gleaned in a short space of time. I like it so much I contribute money to it occasionally....yes I'm one of them!
